Insulation for Residential Homes

Overview

With the growing demand for energy efficient buildings , insulation is one of the major aspects that designers are focusing on are looking for. Recently BEE has introduced the energy efficiency code for residential sector known as Eco Niwas. This code prescribes the Residential Envelop Transmittance Values (RETV) which is a measuring criterion for the unwanted heat gain of the building. To achieve better thermal comfort and lower energy costs (operational costs), it is imperative to use the right insulation materials for roof and wall applications.

Application
Application

Roof

Roof of any residential home is generally made of RCC. This is the major area through which heat ingress can take place and increase the energy cost of the building. For ease of installation and to reduce the number of fixtures, boards which are semi-rigid or rigid in nature are preferred.

For roofs with a false ceiling, customers can used either boards or rolls. Rolls of longer lengths allow fast installation with fewer joints. Our ability to offer customized factory cut lengths help reduce on-site wastage.

To reduce the structural load, Lightweight glasswool insulation is commonly used.

If a customer also requires stone (rock) wool, we also offer building rolls for roof application.

Application

Wall

Heat gain through external walls of a residential home or building leads to higher energy costs required to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature. To maintain a comfortable temperature and reduce energy costs, walls should be fitted with insulation.

Our insulation is most suited to provide thermal and acoustic comfort while also ensuring fire safety. Since our products are non-combustible, they do not propagate fire spread and do not release toxic smoke / fumes in event of a fire.

Driven by our purpose of ‘Making the World a Better Home’, we offer high-performing, health safe, biosoluble, EUCEB certified products.
